There will be some foreshadowing on Sunday when the Edmonton Eskimos are practising at Fuhr Sports Park in Spruce Grove.
After announcing on Friday that they’ll play their 2015 “home” preseason game in Fort McMurray against the Saskatchewan Roughriders, the Eskimos will use Sunday’s practice to announce that they’ll hold their training camp there in 2015, while Commonwealth Stadium and Clarke Park are used for the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
Before the Eskimos practice on Sunday, team president and CEO Len Rhodes, along the mayor of Spruce Grove, Stuart Houston, will make the news official.
Rhodes hinted at the deal while he was in Fort McMurray on Friday, saying that camp would be held in a community “outside of Edmonton proper.”
