Esks and Bombers depth charts posted

Much like in Edmonton, it’s a warm and sunny day here in Winnipeg, which makes for a fitting setting for a pair of 3-0 teams to battle it out for the best record in the CFL.

Before that, though, we have depth charts to look at and walkthroughs to wait through. The Eskimos depth chart was just released and you can check the Bombers’ depth chart here.

There’s not a lot out of the ordinary on the Esks’ chart. J.C. Sherritt is listed as the starting Will linebacker, despite having a limited (to put it lightly) role in practice this week. As I tweeted earlier, I’d expect to see Dexter McCoil in there on Thursday night again. The rookie has nine tackles and two interceptions playing in Sherritt’s absence this year.

Under ins and outs, centre Justin Sorensen is off of the six-game injured list and is listed at the backup behind Brian Ramsay. Sorensen hasn’t played yet this season, since hurting his knee during the team’s fan day scrimmage in June. The timing couldn’t be better for the former Bomber, who signed with the Eskimos as a free agent in February. The Esks’ other centre, Adam Baboulas is on the one-game injured list this week.

I’ll be back with updates as we get through each team’s availabilities today. The Esks are expected in at 3 p.m. CT.
