On the seventh day, the Eskimos made their second cut of training camp. Gone this morning, ahead of the team’s 11 a.m. practice/fan day scrimmage, is 26-year-old defensive back Desmond Marrow.
The six-foot-three, 208-pounder from Youngstown, Ohio, was signed on Jan. 22. The Eskimos’ look at him was a quick one, considering he’s been on the team’s not practising list since Day 2 of camp. That list is starting to take on an ominous tone, as WR Joe Adams, who was on that list from Day 2 through Day 5, was cut on Thursday.
I made mention of that list and all of the players sitting out of practice in my story on third-string running back Tyler Thomas, which is in Saturday’s Journal.
