The Edmonton Eskimos’ defence appears to be undergoing a facelift.
Two days after releasing veteran linebacker T.J. Hill, the Eskimos announced on Thursday that they’ve parted ways with non-import safety Donovan Alexander. The 28-year-old from Winnipeg spent the last three years with the Eskimos and has 170 tackles and seven interceptions in a six-year career.
Linebacker Damaso Munoz left the Eskimos this week as well, signing with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the NFL.
The only safety on the Eskimos’ roster at the moment is non-import Mike Miller. The Eskimos re-signed the Acadia University product on Dec. 18.
